Have you been silent today?
We live in constant internal and external noise and forget to be silent.
The external noise of everyday life is deafening, we share other people's frustrations without giving them permission to do so.
The person wakes up feeling unwell, meets you in the elevator and doesn't even say good morning, so we start the day with the other person's nerves.

As pedestrians, we want to cross a street and a car or motorcycle does not give us the due and fair passage because it is in a hurry, because it has its own commitments and has already woken up on automatic.
Drivers vent their frustrations by honking their horns, which can drive anyone crazy.
The internal noise in our heads screams, talks non-stop and demands that we have and be everything, all day long.
Silence calms, soothes the spirit, soul and body and with that allows us to stop and we can listen and perceive the answers received and that are not always perceived.
Some people go on silent retreats in remote places like some monasteries, spending the weekend without internet, without connection to the outside world, the goal is to disconnect, to be silent.
But since we can't always get away from the scene for a few days, how about starting with a daily ritual?
We can talk a lot about this subject here, but the first step could be to be in the present moment, neither in the past nor in the future. To be here and now.
And to be in the now, small gestures are enough, for example, when you have a meal, do not do it while listening to music or watching something that could distract you, be in the present moment, there at your meal, or when you start the day, do not start with your cell phone in your hands watching news stories that are most of the time bad news, these things that distract us open the doors to external noises, in fact to more noises than usual.
Praying, contemplating the flame of a candle, a flower, listening to the sound of birds or classical music, may seem silly, but it makes all the difference.
Silence is protection, practice internalization.
Have a peaceful week,
