ZOONOSES

ZOONOSES

🇺🇸 - What are zoonoses? Have you ever wondered what this term means? Nowadays we are experiencing covid-19. When a disease is transferred from an animal to a human being, or even vice versa, this is a zoonosis. It is interesting to notice how animal, human, and environmental health are all connected. If one thing is not okay, probably so will the others.
Another example of zoonoses was the mad cow disease by the 90's. According to BBC, “Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) is a degenerative disease that affects the nervous system of cattle. It is popularly known as mad cow disease because the symptoms include aggression and lack of coordination.” Eventually, this disease was a risk and a problem for humans.
