🇺🇸 - What You Didn't Know About Food, Mind, and Body

It is true that when we talk about health, we need to include mind. People forget a lot that food, body, and mind are all connected to each other. One of the first things it is the relationship towards food. Some people fear pleasure, fear gaining weight, and so on.

What is important is to understand yourself, so therefore you'll understand what you enjoy to eat, and to do. For example: Many people hate going to the gym. Others, do really well and do good walks everyday. In Lifestyle Unstoppable, we show you there is no correct formula, even though we enjoy to eat good food, and we try to live a healthy life for disease prevention, and the good change of mood, and so other things.

When we are in Florida, my mother and I enjoy riding our bikes and swimming. But when we are in Sao Paulo, it is practically impossible to have the lifestyle we enjoy to have since people in Brazil have a different lifestyle than people in the US. This is why I like to inform this to people because there's too much comparison. Sometimes, someone who lives in Hawaii wants to have the same lifestyle as someone who lives in China… It's complicated. That's why we talk about adaptation.

There are always ways to have a healthy lifestyle. The important thing is to analyze how your in your daily life you can do it. For example, there are people who don't have time to cook, and live a busy life. This pasta salad can be a great option for these people, since you can eat with in cold temperature and put healthy ingredients. Cook one day of the week, and eat your meal more than once. You can buy a bowl and put the pasta salad there, and take it with you to your work.

Food and Mind-

Do you know when you want something too specific? Sometimes this food reminds you of a good situation in your life, a smell, someone… So when you feel upset, you tend to eat what you like because your mind is trying to have back that good sensation you miss.

Food and body-

There are other times you have “the necessity” to eat that chocolate because your body is trying to have nutrients in a faster way. Probably, because you most likely did not get enough nutrients in your day, you try to have it with the chocolate, for example. The snacks like Doritos, are a good example in this case. When you eat something like that, you know you won't have just a piece or two, but the whole package. And sometimes, you don't even like it, but because your body is looking for nutrients, “it” searches for something fast. That's why sometimes you eat industrialized foods. Your body doesn't understand that Doritos won't give you nutrients, so you eat, eat, and eat… until you have “all the nutrients you need.” But in the end, you didn't receive it. Some people do more exercises, others start a new hobby, and so on.
Mind and Body-

My mother never liked crossfit. But after a difficult situation in her life, she needed to put all that energy out. So, she started crossfit, and loved it. Sometimes, we don't like something, but going through a situation in our life, we change. At this time, your mind reaches for help, and do a sport can really help with that because at the same time you need energy, you also need to take it out.

Start listening to your body, mind, and you'll feel what you need in the moment to eat, and live. Sometimes we get mad at something, when you feel like asking yourself why. What is missing in your life for you to feel better? What do you think you need in order to have the body of dreams, guided by a health professional? How do you feel? Ask yourself these questions, and you'll learn to listen to your body.

Sometimes, you “need” to eat chocolate, because your body is trying to get nutrients faster. You probably haven't received enough nutrients today, so you reach for chocolate, for example. Industrialized foods, like Doritos, can be part of this example. When you eat something like this, you know you won't eat one of them, but the packet. Sometimes, not because you like it, but because you have some nutrients, “you” are looking for something quick. That's why you go looking for industrialized ones. You don't understand that Doritos won't give you nutrients, so you eat, eat, and eat, until you “get the nutrients you need.” But at the end, I didn't receive anything.


Mind and Body-
