My name is Thiago, how are you? I decided to become a vegetarian about six years ago (I'm 21) and I would like to share here how my life has changed since this process. I have always been very active since I was little and a fan of martial arts. I practice Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, gym… since I was very little.

Due to my genetics and me not sitting still, my metabolism has always been absurdly above average. Because of this I was always very skinny and I didn't like it, so I constantly went on diets to gain weight. At the time, I still ate meat. Around 3 pieces of meat per plate about five times a day. There is no other word that defines it better: exaggeration (hahaha). I reached my goal of gaining weight, but I felt like it wasn't healthy for me.

When I decided to become a vegetarian, I was forced to try many other different foods to replace meat. This made my palate expand a lot and nowadays I eat everything. I believe this made me a healthier person and made me feel more agile in fights. The only possibly negative thing I can think of would be the lower amount of creatine in my body, as most of it is obtained from meat. And the lack of creatine would cause muscle fatigue faster, compromising training. However, I eat a lot and with quality, so I never felt that fatigue or had a nutritional or hormonal lack in any test I took.

I don't plan on eating meat again, but this experience was very good for me. I believe that not everyone has to become vegetarian or vegan; We must first focus on having a balanced and varied diet. Now I know that even if I went back to eating meat (in moderation), I would be healthier than before since my palate is much broader these days.

The only possibly negative thing I can think of would be the lesser amount of creatine in my body, as most of it is obtained from meat. I'm called Thiago, how about that? I decided to become a vegetarian about six years ago (I'm 21) and I would like to share here how my life has changed since I started this process. I have always been very active since childhood and aficionado of martial arts. I practice Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, gymnastics… since I was little.

I owe it to my genetics to keep me quiet, my metabolism has always been absurdly above average. For that reason, I was always very flabby and didn't like it, so I was constantly on diets to gain weight. At that moment, I was still eating meat. About 3 pieces of meat per plate about five times a day. There is no other word that defines it better: exaggeration (jajaja). I reached my goal of gaining weight, but I felt like I wasn't healthy.

When I decided to become a vegetarian, I found myself having to try many different foods to replace the meat. I feel like my taste buds are expanding a lot today like at all. I believe that I am a healthier person and that I feel more agile in wrestling activities. The only possible negative thing that I could think of would be the smallest amount of creatine in my body, since most of it is obtained from meat. A lack of creatine would cause faster muscle fatigue, damaging your training. However, as much as I can and with quality, I have never felt this tiredness, nor have I had a nutritional or hormonal lack in any exam since then.
