Renewing yourself can happen anytime of the year. But many people still follow New Eve's tradition to begin goals, change mindsets, start diets, and life plans. The first thing I'd like to remind you is that time is now, and this is all you have as a guarantee. Renewing yourself is about renewing from inside to outside. And we believe we can give you some ideas to start your year fresh, healthy, and calmer.

1. Talk to yourself.

Have you ever asked yourself what makes you upset? What makes you angry? All these aspects are part of a good and healthy lifestyle. You can't have a healthy body with an unresolved mind. It is really important to talk to yourself to understand what you miss the most, what are your wishes, what is making you feel good, your tastes, etc.

 The idea to talk to yourself is so you can get to know yourself better, in order to prevent or do things that don't bring you joy, and at the same time, for you to explore and try things that align with your values ​​and yourself. For example: You don't like ice cream because you tasted it, and it didn't please you, or because your parents taught you to not like ice cream?

Talking to yourself can help you to end limited thoughts, and explore new possibilities. Try and do it some time! And of course, if you feel insecure about something in your life, or any issue you may be facing, we always recommend talking to a psychologist or a therapist to better assist you with your needs.

2. Make it happen.

After getting to know truly about yourself, you'll naturally reflect on hobbies, and new experiences. Do you know about that book you wanted to buy, but you haven't yet? Start a new language on free apps? Start running in the morning? It can be anything. What I want to remind you is that you won't start it perfectly, and that's okay.

For example, if you are starting a new language, and you know you are the procrastinator type, instead of studying for three hours every day, begin with fifteen minutes every day. It's better to start something little by little, but something you can do it with consistency, than doing it three or four times in the week and getting too stressed about it. You want to overcome your limits, but you don't need to have a burnout.

3. Relaxing Times.

For some people, relaxing time can be a good cup of tea, maybe watching tv, a good bath with flowers, or even reading something in webtoon (hehe, I am part of the community :) .) Of course we should have in mind learning to separate work and free time. But we should always have a free time even if it is for ten minutes. Our body does not function properly if we don't give a break to it.

So, learn how to give yourself a break and enjoy this time with yourself. On the weekends, try to spend time with your family, friends, or people you care about. This is also a way to make you relax and put your mind away from problems for a while.

4. Whole Foods.

Eating healthier foods won't harm you. Try to explore foods you find interesting. People think a tomato can't make a difference, but trust me, it can. As you try new things, it can become a habit. Fish, grains, vegetables, fruits than sweets, and physical activity can be a good way to renew yourself. As a human, it is impossible to have a mind free of insecurities. But we believe, you can manage to stress less. Worry about things that matter. Sometimes we tend to think that just because someone doesn't like us it is probably because there is something wrong with us, and trust me, nothing is wrong with you. It is about preferences.
