Why does “taking care of yourself” often seem boring and irritating to many people? Because many people have the perception that taking care of yourself means being motivated every day, eating only vegetables and fruits, and what irritates me the most…. Radically change your habits from day to night. But if I told you that there was no formula for taking care of yourself?

Fortunately, the concept of “health” has changed over the years. Before, the term “health” was related to not having diseases. Nowadays, “health” has focused on prevention and quality of life.

And that's it... What is quality of life for you?

Quality of life and the term “health,” for me, is about a balanced diet, having ups and downs, and living intensely. This includes some days you cry, laugh, eat chocolate and pizza, and the next day you drink tea and do yoga, for example. “Balance” has never been more important than it is now. Can you understand that this is not mathematics?

The biggest problem is that many people believe that taking care of themselves is to attract romantic partners, to have the “summer body,” to be accepted on social media for their beauty, the “eight little buds, and without a shirt,” to take medication when If you are already sick, believe that “cellulite doesn’t matter,” and that stopping eating completely will make you lose weight. This is not quality of life. This, in addition to hypocrisy and fashion, is a sentence. It's true that we have to accept ourselves as we are, and also the parts of us that remain as “marks,” or “scars from life's battles,” as my grandmother would say. But there is always room for more. I don't want you to be ashamed of your cellulite, for example. But why not find a balance between accepting yourself and taking care of yourself, even to prevent future problems? Well, the issue is not just aesthetics. It’s also the “inside.”

No, you won't get boring motivation every day. It sucks. Balance was never mentioned to be synonymous with “perfection.” The advantage of having a fun diet is that you allow yourself to break out of the fad. You allow yourself to be, a human being. You see, it's a mix of pleasure, health, emotional, mental and physical balance. Allow yourself to eat vegetables and fruits, just don't forget to be creative, and then you'll remember that taking care of yourself is actually the most beautiful thing in this world.
